All the WON-DER-FUL things to do in Florence Italy!

We felt it as soon as we left the train station…
The amazing energy that is Florence Italy. We could live here.
The architecture, streets lined with street performers + Italian leather goods, the scent of gelato kissing my nose…
Countless museums + castles, + designer stores with lines curving around the corner.

Things to do in Florence Italy highlights |
✨ Our Airbnb…right over Via Por Santa Maria Street [minus the horrible bathroom smell]
✨ Getting up close and personal to the David of Michelangelo
✨ Being blown away by the ornate designs inside Pitti Palace + Cameron frolicking in the gardens
✨ Stumbling upon some seriously orgasmic sticky toffee pudding + truffle sandwiches
✨ Learning how to make biscotti, crostinis, + ravioli + tortellini at MaMa Florence Cooking School
✨ Thoroughly enjoying the unassuming Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, 11th century, hilltop church
✨ Meandering through Piazzale Michelangelo + Bardini Gardens
✨ And, my epic shopping spree at St. Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, + Hermes

💜 TRAVEL TIP 💜 |
Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore…not gonna lie…a bit of a catfish.
Firstly, expect to wait in line for 1-2 hours. Complete insanity. Especially after you walk in.
I have two words for you…beyond underwhelming.
You’re better off doing Brunelleschi’s Dome + looking down into the cathedral from the top. No joke.
Florence Cathedral be basic + boring y’all. Which is the complete opposite of how it looks on the outside.
It’s like they spent their entire budget on the outside.
But…if you want to see a MIND BLOWINGLY SPECTACULAR Duomo…drive 1.25 hours to Siena Italy…and walk into the Duomo di Siena.
You won’t be disappointed! If I’m lyin…I’m dyin. Promise.

Check out a sneak peek of the Siena Cathedral here.

Florence Italy…this isn’t good-bye…it’s a see ya later.
Because, there are so many things to do in Florence Italy we just barely scratched the surface.
