ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST…visiting my very own national forest!

When I saw Ashley National Forest on the map, I did a double take. My very own forest?!
One thing was certain, I was figuring out how to add this stop to our month-long USA road trip.
So, I immediately started researching what to do in Ashley National Forest. 

Along the way, I learned it’s named after this dude William H. Ashley.
Regardless of it being a dude’s last name, it was surreal seeing my name plastered on a million signs in Vernal Utah.

Ashley National Forest + Vernal highlights |
✨ I booked one of the cutest Airbnbs ever!
✨ It was in the middle of nowhere, had a legit iron gate, a baby horse, + no cell service
✨ Vernal actually has some pretty awesome Thai food
✨ The Flaming Gorge and Red Canyon are GORGE! [pun intended]
✨ Driving the Red Cloud Loop was scenic and kept us on our toes
✨ The dicey drive down to Bush Creek Cave
